Göscheneralp dam

Description

The Göscheneralpsee is a reservoir used by the Göschenen power station. You can visit the impressive dam, which was built in 1960, on a guided tour. Together with a power station employee, visitors explore the 155 metre high dam. The tour leads through the dam, which is made entirely of natural materials. Over 300 steps lead to the throttle valves and the tour ends with the crossing of the dam to the bottom outlet. A funicular railway takes visitors back to the starting point. Tourism Göschenen-Göscheneralp organises the tours for groups from June to October.
