Guided tour ‘History of tourism’
Description
The history of tourism in Andermatt goes far beyond the construction of the famous hotel ‘The Chedi’. Even before the First World War, tourism played an important role in the Ursern Valley. What stopped the boom back then, while other destinations built up a strong brand? What opportunities and challenges do the latest developments bring for locals, businesses and tourism organisations? These and other questions about the history of tourism will be answered during the tour.
The tour can be flexibly and easily adapted to the wishes and ideas of the guests. It is also possible to organise a shorter or longer tour or to combine it with an aperitif or lunch.
Please note that the tour depends on the availability of the guides. Guides will be requested directly after your booking. If no guide is available, we will contact you to discuss a possible rebooking. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of the tour are subject to a processing fee of CHF 40.00 per tour. Cancellations within 48 hours before the start of the tour will be charged the full booking price.
