Grotte Mariens

A visit to the Grotto Mariens is particularly worthwhile after you have walked along the path of contemplation. The dense forest provides shade and the subdued light enhances the mysterious atmosphere of the place. The grotto is about a five-minute walk above the village of Wassen, near the Schanzhaus. The contemplation trail leads along the old Sustenstrasse road to the grotto and includes nine stations with contemplative subjects.
