Tour of the Gotthard tunnel village of Göschenen

The tour through the Gotthard tunnel village of Göschenen comprises 14 stops and starts at Göschenen railway station. Free booklets in German, Italian and English are available at the railway station and on the village square. The trail leads through the sighting tunnel of the railway tunnel, where an audio show illustrates the construction from 1872 to 1882, to the historic customs bridge, the Villa Bergruh of the writer Ernst Zahn and the power station. Groups can book a guided tour on request. Some stations are closed during the winter months. The tour provides insights into the history of Gotthard transport and the Gotthard Base Tunnel and shows the historical highlights of Göschenen.
