Culinary trek with the Treno Gottardo
Comfortable and sustainable to Andermatt for a culinary hiking trek
This is included in the hiking experience
You can travel from Zurich, Basel, Lucerne or Locarno to Andermatt with the modern Treno Gottardo of the Südostbahn.
There you take the Gütsch-Express to the middle station, where you can enjoy coffee and croissants in the Matti family restaurant.
You continue with the gondola in the direction of Gütsch and then hike to the Schneehüenerstock past the beautiful Lutersee.
In the restaurant with the best panoramic terrace you can enjoy traditional Älplermagronen for the main course.
The gondola then takes you back down towards the Oberalp Pass, where you can have your coffee and dessert at the Piz Calmot.
The entire circular hike takes about 3 hours without breaks for refreshments and the pure hiking time is about 1.5 -2 hours. Ideal for guests with an intermediate hiking level. As a further highlight, you have the opportunity to download your audio guide free of charge onto your smartphone and learn a lot of interesting facts about the area on the round trip.
