Winter hiking: active deceleration
Leave your tracks in the snow
When you are out and about on foot, you have time to really perceive your surroundings and the nature. In the winter cold, all your senses are activated: You can smell the fir forest, hear the rustling of animals and see the snow crystals glistening. This is pure relaxation and offers active deceleration!
Winter hiking network
The Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis region offers you a varied, well-signposted winter hiking trail network for every taste. The network of carefully prepared and well-signposted trails stretches from Realp in the Ursern Valley to Disentis in the Surselva. From the frozen Arnisee in the picturesque snow-covered forest to the sunny hike from Sedrun to Disentis. Depending on the weather and your mood of the day, you can choose from more than 100 kilometres of winter hiking trails.
The villages around Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis are connected thanks to the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and the journey over the Oberalp Pass offers a unique view of the snow-covered mountain peaks. You can therefore travel comfortably to the various starting points or take the train back after a hike.
