Andermatt Concert Hall
Description
On 16 June 2019, the new Andermatt Concert Hall was opened with a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Constantinos Carydis. The concert hall, designed by Studio Seilern Architects under the direction of Christina Seilern and built by Andermatt Swiss Alps and BESIX, is the first large, specially designed concert hall in a winter sports resort. The hall seats around 650 and offers an intimate atmosphere as well as an exceptionally flexible stage with space for a 75-piece orchestra. Kahle Acoustics and dUCKS scéno were responsible for the acoustics and the hall concept. The hall not only offers space for concerts, but is also ideal for conferences, celebrations and seminars. Set against the impressive panorama of the Ursern Valley, the hall can be hired for various events via the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen.
