Lake Oberalp

Lake Oberalp, picturesquely nestled in the high alpine landscape, is easily accessible by car, bike, on foot or with the Matterhorn Gotthard railway. Its clear, oxygen-rich water offers ideal conditions for lake and rainbow trout, Arctic char and Namaycush trout.

Fishing at Lake Oberalp

Fishing in Lake Oberalp requires your own fishing licence, which can be purchased and paid for directly at the fishing hut by the lake. The licence entitles you to fish up to six trout from the lake. The Uri fishing licence is not valid here. If you still need fishing equipment, you can find the right gear in the fishing hut. The fishing season runs from the middle/end of June to the end of September and fishing is permitted between 8 am and 8 pm.
