Gabrielenhaus
Description
The Gabrielenhaus is located in the hamlet of Färnigen on the Susten Pass and offers space for up to 9 people on two floors - the entire chalet is available to guests. The house invites you to unwind and take a break from everyday digital life - there is deliberately no internet. In winter, the Meiental is ideal for snowshoe hikes and ski tours. Andermatt is around 30 minutes away by car and offers further skiing opportunities.
The house, which is over 400 years old, was saved from decay in 1981 and completely renovated. The cosy and practical furnishings and a large fireplace ensure comfort.
Ground floor
The ground floor combines kitchen, dining and living area around a central fireplace. If required, two beds in the living area provide additional accommodation. A door from the living room leads to the staircase, the cloakroom and the bathroom, which is equipped with a shower, washbasin, toilet and washing machine.
Upper floor
On the top floor there is a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet as well as two bedrooms. The larger room can accommodate up to five people, the smaller one two. Shelves with books and board games provide entertainment. There is also a television (without cable connection) with a selection of DVDs.
Cellar
Access via a hatch in the floor leads to the natural cellar, ideal for storing supplies and materials. A wine cellar with an exquisite selection of international wines is available to guests for a fee. In winter, three sledges and three pairs of snowshoes can be used free of charge.
Outdoor area
A glass door in the kitchen leads to the seating area, where a massive garden table invites you to relax. From here you can enjoy the impressive mountain panorama with a view of the Fünffingerstöcke. A retractable awning provides shade when needed. A few steps take you to the hotel's own car park, which is just a few metres away. A second car park, also free of charge, is located on the opposite side of the house.
