Ursern Valley Museum
Description
The Ursern Valley Museum is located in one of the most beautiful patrician buildings in the Ursern Valley, the ‘Suworow House’, which was built in 1786 by Franz Dominik Nager and served as the headquarters of the Russian General Suworow in 1799. After renovation, the museum was opened in 1991 and offers permanent exhibitions on 18th century domestic culture, valley history, the military, alpine economy, alpine animals, muleteers and the career of skiing legend Bernhard Russi. Temporary exhibitions are held in the basement and guided tours are available on request.
