Neuer Fortschrittsbericht Andermatt Responsible 2023

Andermatt, April 10, 2024

Sustainability is a strategic focus at the Andermatt Swiss Alps Group and at Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG. With ambitious new ESG goals, the companies are driving changes towards sustainable tourism operations throughout the destination. In 2023, the focus was on energy efficiency measures in the hotels and mountain railways as well as climate-friendly offerings in the mountain restaurants. As a result of intensive construction work and more guests, greenhouse gas emissions have increased. Already in 2021, the Andermatt Swiss Alps Group and Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG have defined sustainability goals in the areas of the environment, society and economy. In 2022, the Andermatt Responsible Board was created - a committee that strategically manages these issues on behalf of the company's boards of directors. At the beginning of 2024, the board was reconstituted in order to be able to cover sustainability efforts as far as possible across the destination. It has also set other goals: Among other things, the Andermatt Swiss Alps Group and Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG want to be climate-neutral in their operations by 2030, have increased guest and employee satisfaction and be sustainably profitable as a company.
