Gotthard Mail Coach

Travel the way it was 150 years ago

The sound of the horn and the ringing bells on the horse harnesses announce its arrival from afar – the historic mail coach. A team of five strong horses pull an authentic reproduction of the Gotthard mail stagecoach over the old Gotthard Pass road to Airolo, led by coachman and conductor in original uniforms. It is a trip through the gorgeous Gotthard landscape, following the trail of merchants, world travellers and ambassadors of old.
